Why settle for just a manicure and pedicure when you can get a full spa treatment? Most spas offer spa packages that include a manicure, pedicure, facial and massage. The cost of the packages is far less than purchasing the services individually. The more services you purchase in a package, the less you pay for each service. Full day packages include the most popular treatments offer by the spa.
If you decide on a manicure and pedicure package, you will receive hand care which may include a paraffin wax treatment. This is different from waxing for hair removal. The hand is dipped in warm liquid paraffin which is allowed to cool and is then peeled off. This treatment softens skin and cuticles making hands incredibly smooth. The paraffin treatment is usually followed by a hand and arm massage. Nail care is just the icing on a delicious cake.
A spa pedicure will also include a paraffin treatment and a foot and leg massage. Your cosmetologist will deal with calluses and dead skin on your feet making them wonderfully smooth. Callus removal also increases comfort when walking. Nail care is also part of a pedicure.
By purchasing spa packages for a manicure and pedicure you will save considerably over purchasing the two services separately. Why stop there though?
A spa facial will make you feel like a new person. The facial deep cleans pores and spa facials include facial massage. The massage increases blood flow to the surface skin of the face creating a youthful glow. Exfoliation removes dead, dull skin cells revealing the new skin beneath. A package which includes a facial will make you feel like a new person.
If you want to feel like you've been on vacation, buy a package that included a massage. There are several types of massage offered at most day spas. Check to see which types of massage are offered with the other services you would like to have. Hot stone massage, stress reliever, craniosacral or deep tissue massage all will help rid your body of stress and help relieve the pain of tense muscles. Combined with the other services at a spa, this is one day that can feel like a week's vacation.
To find out what services are offered as spa packages, you will have to contact individual spas. They may have packages that include more services, or you may wish to purchase more services that are not included in a package. Some spa treatments are not included in packages and must be purchased separately. Waxing and chemical facial peels are usually offered as separate services. If you are having a chemical facial peel, you cannot have a spa facial on the same day. Waxing is a cosmetic rather than a therapeutic procedure.
Most spas do not offer spa packages that include cosmetic procedures since their primary emphasis is on therapeutic treatments. Many spas do offer hair styling, hair treatments and cosmetic application and education. These services are not generally included in spa packages.
