Exfoliating Masque

I feel so, ugly, and gross.. help me, please..?

I think I've cried all the water out of my body..I feel so UGLY. This is the last time I'm gonna ask this question, no one answers anyways.. I need to make some lifestyle changes..I'm determined now to be pretty.

I'm gonna start eating a healthy diet, drinking a lot of water, and exercising. What else could help clear my acne (face, neck, chest, and back) along with these changes? I also am going to take a multivitamin. I have oily, sensitive skin and I VERY easily get the marks leftover by acne even when I don't pick at them(so I have lots of red marks). I wash with Cetaphil gentle skin moisturizer(my face dries out easily), and use Cetaphil lotion in the BIG bottle with the pump thingy. I use Queen Helenes mint julep masque on Sundays and Wednesdays and exfoliate 3 times a week with baking soda. Give me your BEST acne advice.

Please ans thanks.

I had acne as a teen, and now at 26 I still get breakouts if I'm not careful. Like you, EVERY pimple leaves a red/purple scar and I HATE it. Even when my skin is clear, those marks make it look like it's not. I've never had any luck until recently. I tried Mederma for the purple scars and didn't really see any improvement. I just started using Neutrogena Rapid Clear products and it's the best stuff I've ever used. I got Rapid Clear Fight and Fade toner and Rapid Clear Fight and Fade pimple gel. I've only been using it for a few weeks and the marks have already started to fade. Wash your face in the morning with an acne cleanser (I use St. Ives scrub because it removes the dead skin cells and helps the marks fade faster), then follow with the toner, then the gel. If necessary, use an oil free acne lotion to make sure your skin doesn't dry out too much (if it dries out, it will actually produce more oil and can make your skin look worse and break out). Repeat the same process at night. As someone else mentioned, try to keep your hair away from your face as much as possible. The products you use in your hair can cause breakouts, they do for me. You're on the right track as far as drinking alot of water. It's good for your body, and it flushes out impurities which makes your skin clearer. If you're using foundation or concealer, make sure it's oil free. It's best not to wear any though. One option that works really well is the mineral powder by Maybelline. You don't even need a liquid foundation and it covers really well. It also helps with the oil. During the day, blot your face with oil absorbing sheets (regular brown paper towel from public restrooms works just as well). Sometimes the acne is just an age thing and will go away on it's own. I know it's tough right now, but it will get better. If you have any questions you can email me at macie376@yahoo.com. Just hang in there!

One particular product that is most sought nowadays due to its amazing result is the chemical peels. What makes this chemical peels more in demand now is largely because there are certain products of this kind that are now available and can be used right in the comforts of your home. Although there is now a variety of chemical peel products offered over the counter and online, it is still imperative to consult a medical authority to look and evaluate your skin and be able to know what it needs for a change in appearance.

Chemical peels are one skin treatment technique used to improve and soften the texture of the facial skin using a chemical solution that causes the dead skin to slough off and ultimately peel off. The regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled.

Acne can often leave superficial holes, marks or scars on the skin although mild acne scars will often go away on its own. However, there are some chemical peels that are safe to be used and done at home.

Selecting a chemical peel for the removal of acne scars, especially the ones that you will use in the privacy of your home, depends on a couple of different factors such as how bad your scars are and how much money you are willing to spend. In any case, facial peels have proven to be an effective tool in combating acne scars.

Facial peels work through the use of chemicals applied to the skin that burn off the top layers of skin thereby exposing new layers of fresher and radiant-looking appearance. Common types of chemical peels that can be used at home include Lactic Acids which are good for hyper pigmentation problems. Glycolic Acid is good for normal to oily skin types.
